Bridal makeup step by step
Bridal makeup should last all day and all night and really no time for tinkering. In five steps we will see what the makeup should be chosen as well as tips for proper implementation.
# 1: Choose a base that does not exactly match the skin tone so that the sensation of texture
This is a preventative measure to make the makeup last throughout the event. Oily skin is most suitable for the use of powder or cream bases, while dry skin calls for a liquid base. It is important to ensure that the base has no shine and which will add to the natural glow of skin and is not recommended for photos. To prevent smearing makeup with tears, it is important to use a base that is resistant to water.
# 2: Apply a cream concealer salmon tones
This should be applied under the eyes and inner corners of eyes. If these areas still appear dark after applying the base, pressing gently with your concealer on the skin rather than mixing. Salmon tone correction to cover the shadows in the eye area without creating an effect too exaggerated.
# 3: Touch up the eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or powder applied with a brush at right angles
It is important not only to touch up areas "cleared" of the eyebrows, but apply it to create smooth movements in order to mimic the natural appearance of hair. Choose a shade slightly lighter than your eyebrows if they are dark and slightly darker than your eyebrows if they are blond.
# 4: Make the most of your eyes with eyeliner pencil cream
You can use black if you have dark features, or if the wedding is held at night. Otherwise, use a dark brown, gray, blue or purple, depending on what best complements the color of eye shadow. Work the eyeliner on top lashes and make the lines appear thicker lashes without drawing a line on the eyelids. To get more definition, you can then apply a waterproof liquid liner in black, dark brown or gray. Then, we will curve to the lashes and apply mascara waterproof smooth black or dark brown. And will separate the tabs to get a look "clean." You can apply three coats of mascara on top lashes but you are advised to apply only in the lower layer so that they look as natural as possible.
# 5: Choose a blush and a lipstick that has a touch more lively than the natural color of the cheeks
This is a foolproof way to choose the right lipstick or blush and lipstick or lip gloss. Apply blusher on the cheekbone area to avoid blurring the hard edges in the final appearance. For the lipstick or lipstick long as possible the day of the wedding, it is important to choose a full line of eyeliner, lipstick and other makeup to the area you want to add that fall within the same key. For a perfect finish, apply lip gloss on starting at the center thereof and extending toward the ends.
With these bases will have a bridal makeup that will last all day and night, emphasizing your natural beauty while embossing.

Is makeup school the right choice
Written by International makeup artist, Stylist and Fashion Journalist of 5 years, Tove Eggen.
For most of us who work in the beauty and fashion industry, it started as a hobby and an attraction from a very early age. I was only seven when I started combing my father’s hair with water and creating different partings and shapes. I never wanted to go on to become a hairdresser, though (frankly, it feels too invasive for me) but it was the change in appearance that I loved! When my sister was 13, I loved seeing how piercing blue her eyes became when I plucked her eyebrows for the first time and, when, at the age of 16, I made over my best friend for a wedding and she actually looked like one of the grown-ups.
As I was heading towards high school, and later college, I never really thought about looking for a makeup. I didn´t even realize that such a thing existed. But I was still doing all of my friends and family´s make up and dressing a bit differently. I was never extreme, but I seemed to have a different angle of interest to my looks; it wasn´t all about looking pretty for the boys, it was more than that.
When I was about to start university to study Theater Science and English, my brother met a girl who was fresh out of photography school and about to start makeup artists. She immediately became my ‘new best friend’ and I followed her through every step of her studies. She would often do her projects at our house using me as a model, and all along I would be wishing that I was the one doing the makeup. I then realized that this was not only the career for me, but the life too.
This was the opportunity I didn´t even know I was looking for! But as I broke the happy news to my family, the joy was not shared. My father didn´t believe it was a career and my mother was afraid that it was just a ‘phase’. So I started university, doing my best, but all along I knew I would start the makeup school as soon as I was done. I stayed focused and saved the money necessary to apply and, thankfully, I got in on the first try! I was so happy and as soon as I got started with my studies at the makeup school, I realized how little I actually knew about this amazing industry.
At first, I felt a bit intimidated and unsure if I could pull it off. It was only when, after 3 months of studies, I landed an assistant job for a fashion stylist, picking out all the garments she needed for a fashion spread, I understood. When I saw my very own name in print on that credit list I realized: when you work with something you love to do, you will always be the best at it because every day you will wake up and WANT to go to your makeup school, and when you are done there you will WANT to get to work.
Today my father is always the first to read my articles on how to choose a foundation, intensely studying my beauty spreads and always expressing how proud he is of me. He is not worried about makeup artistry and fashion styling being a career or not because he sees how I work in so many and varied aspects of the industry. I do makeup, I teach, I work with celebrities and models as well as private clients. I write, I travel and, most importantly of all, I feel happy and blessed every day. Now, that´s a pretty good career choice if you ask me.
